John Receveur
Board Chair
A seasoned technology executive with 12+ years in the Salesforce ecosystem, John currently leads ISV partnerships at 10K Advisors, managing strategic AI and analytics relationships. Previously at Coastal, he worked to build one of the leading system integrators and co-founded Roobiq, a mobile CRM solution. He holds an MBA from Hult International Business School and serves on the Frazier History Museum Board. John enjoys spending time with his family as well as golf and skiing.
Deana Paradis
Board Treasurer
Deana Paradis is a CPA and former CFO of an independent school in Louisville KY, in Louisville, KY. Prior to this role, she was a member of the assurance practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers for eleven years including two years with the Government and Public Sector in the UK. Deana currently serves on the Financial Accounting Standards Board Not-for-Profit Advisory Committee. She served as an Associate Instructor in the Nonprofit Management program at Columbia University.
Deana earned a BS in Accounting and a BBA in Finance from the University of Kentucky with honors, her MBA from Bellarmine University, her MS in Nonprofit Management from Columbia University, and is currently a EdD candidate at Vanderbilt University. Deana serves on the Boards of Directors of the Speed Art Museum, Gilda’s Club of Kentuckiana, EdChoice Kentucky, and is a Leadership Advisory Council Representative for the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics. Deana enjoys tennis, running, needlepointing and traveling with her husband and children.
Robert Link
Board Secretary
Robert Link serves as the board secretary for The Whitney/Strong Legislative Fund. Robert is the Kentucky market leader for Collier’s employee benefits practice and brings over a decade of healthcare analytics and management consulting experience having worked with many of the largest health systems, health plans, and employers in the country.
A father of two, Robert is committed to building a safer and healthier community for future generations. Robert serves on the Healthcare Policy Committee for Greater Louisville Inc. and enjoys cooking, pickleball, fly-fishing and spending time with his family.
Jonathan Bone
Director
Jonathan Bone is a Senior Vice President and partner at PriceWeber Marketing, a full-service marketing agency based in Louisville, Kentucky. He has been at PriceWeber for 12 years and before that was the marketing director for a national real estate auction firm for six years. Jonathan provides marketing consultation for large clients such as Cummins, Inc. and Toyota, as well as local Louisville companies and nonprofits.
Jonathan has a B.S. in Advertising and Communications from the University of Alabama. Originally from Alabama, Jonathan has lived in Louisville for the past 12 years. He is the father of three children and is passionate about nurturing the safety of the community they will grow up in. In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, having cookouts and cheering on his beloved Crimson Tide.
Nate Haney
Director
Nate Haney is an entrepreneur, a leader, and a believer in building people up and bringing people together. An expert connector, an optimist and penultimate people person, Nate supports his community, and those who are striving to make our world a better place to live, work and play.
Nate is the first in his family to graduate from college and he is a strong supporter of education and business risk-taking. After receiving his Bachelor’s, Juris-Doctorate and Master’s degrees, Nate and his business partner started a transportation company with a $2,500 loan. Since then, they have successfully started up an additional ten logistics companies working together to provide a suite of transportation solutions driven by integrity.
Most recently, Nate and his business partner, Mike White, acquired B.R. Williams Trucking, LLC. and integrated its logistics portfolio. The company has over 175 tractors, 700 trailers and more than 1.5 million square feet of warehousing.
Nate was awarded the Recent Alumnus of the Year from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville and is a member of the Distinguished Hall of Fame at Paintsville High School.
Nate resides in Louisville, Kentucky with his wife, Meredith, and their three kids, Miles, Hayes and Rawley.
Dr. Brooke Edge
Director
Brooke Edge has a PhD in Media Studies and Communication from the University of Colorado and is the Owner of Brooke Edge Consulting, a consumer research and brand positioning firm. She also taught media studies and theory at the University of Denver and University of Colorado, Boulder, and was a features reporter for a number of publications, including The Prague Post and Creative Loafing.
Brooke’s academic research focused on healthcare messaging in popular media, qualitative analysis of audience response, and strategic communications to underserved populations. Brooke has conducted media and communications research and strategy efforts for clients in the arts, automotive, beverage, entertainment, financial services and packaged goods industries. Brooke and her husband moved to Louisville in 2015. They and their two children enjoy exploring Louisville's restaurant scene and traveling as much as possible.
Mac Brown
Director
J. McCauley (Mac) Brown currently is the Chairman of the Frazier History Museum and the past Chairman of the Republican Party of Kentucky retiring in 2023. Elected as Chairman of the RPK in 2015, Mac also served as Transition Chairman when Governor Bevin was elected in 2015. During his 8 years the party registration grew to dominate Kentucky and achieved super majorities in the legislature. Mac retired in Dec 2015 as a Vice President of Brown-Forman Corporation.
Dr. Swannie Jett
Director
Swannie Jett, DrPH, MSc, was selected as the new CEO of Park DuValle Community Health Center in August 2021. Dr. Jett, most recent appointments were as Health Commissioner for the Brookline Department of Health in Brookline, MA in 2017. Dr. Jett was the Health Officer/Surgeon General for Seminole County, Florida from 2013-16, and the HealthOfficer of Bullitt County Health Department in Kentucky from 2009-to 2013. Dr. Jett is passionate about improving communities and addressing issues involving the Social Determinants of Health such as housing, women’s health services, men’s health, tobacco, homelessness, gun violence, climate change, and health inequities.
Currently, Dr. Jett is Lieutenant Colonel in the Arkansas Air National Guard where his latest assignment was in Senegal, Africa assisting with the Ebola Virus Outbreak. Dr. Jett is a national leader in public health as the Past President of the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO). He is an honorary member of Kentucky’s Delta Omega Public Health Society. Dr. Jett has an award-winning TV show called CEO Live Talks which airs on Wave 3 on Saturdays.
In 2011, he completed the National Public Health Leadership Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received the Bronze Star Medal for serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2006 to 2008. Dr. Jett received a Mayor’s Citation in 2005 from the Mayor of Louisville, Kentucky for his distinguished service and contribution to the betterment of the city and its people. Dr. Jett is a Paul Harris Fellow. Dr. Jett’s career has focused on conducting community health assessments and community health improvement plans to reduce health inequities and modify policies that impact social determinants of health. These assessments are taught at the collegiate level.
Dr. Jett holds a Doctor of Public Health with an emphasis in Environmental Health and Preventive Medicine from the University of Kentucky, a Master of Science degree from the University of Tennessee in Biosystems engineering, a Master of Health Care Administration from Suffolk University, and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Statistics from Tennessee State University.
Chief Rick Sanders
Director
Chief Sanders has over 40 years of distinguished service in law enforcement. He began his career with the Jefferson County Police Department (JCPD) in Louisville, KY in 1973. While a member of the JCPD he served as a patrol officer, homicide detective and helicopter pilot.
In 1983 Chief Sanders pursued his lifelong goal to become a federal agent joining the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). As a DEA Special Agent, Chief Sanders was stationed in the Louisville, Miami, Dallas, Indianapolis, Chicago and Washington D.C. offices. An accomplished airplane and helicopter pilot, Chief Sanders provided air support for DEA enforcement operations in the United States, Caribbean and South America from 1988-1996.
